About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009, and the brand name was derived from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The original vision was to create recycled products with quality and design comparable to those made from non-recycled materials. The first collection and flagship store in Madrid were launched in 2012 after three years of research and development.

In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which works with the fishing industry to collect marine waste and transform it into yarns and textiles. In 2018, Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification. In 2022, B Corp ranked it among Best for the World and in the top 5% of companies in the environmental category.

The brand thus combines garment development with long-term projects focused on the use of waste and recycled materials.
