About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. The brand name was created from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The original vision was to create recycled products with quality and design comparable to non-recycled goods.

The Ecoalf Foundation was established in 2015 to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which collects marine waste and transforms it into yarn and textiles. Ecoalf has been a certified B Corporation since March 2018 and is headquartered in Madrid. In 2019, the brand received PETA Vegan certification and the PETA Vegan Fashion Award.

Ecoalf combines the use of recycled materials with long-term projects focused on processing marine waste.
