The Alyssa Ashley brand was founded in 1969. It was established by Italian surrealist artist Enrico Donati under the perfume house Houbigant and named in honour of his daughter Alyssa.

Alyssa Ashley combines fine art with perfumery and uses renowned works of art and artists in the presentation of its fragrances. In 2019, Consuelo Perris took over the leadership of the brand.
