About the Brand

The LEGO Group was founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen. The name LEGO was formed by shortening the Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well". It is a private company headquartered in Billund, Denmark.

The name LEGO itself thus refers to play, which is at the heart of this set.
