About the Brand

Nishane is a niche fragrance brand based in Istanbul. It was founded by Mert Güzel and Murat Katran in September 2012, and they serve as its creative directors.

When creating collections, the brand first establishes a story and then selects the perfumer and the desired fragrance notes. Its work draws on the traditions, modern perspective and cosmopolitan character of Istanbul. It approaches perfumes as an art form based on storytelling. The name Nishane means mark, sign or symbol.

Each collection is thus born from a predetermined story, for which the brand chooses a perfumer and specific fragrance notes.
