About the Brand

Montana is a French luxury brand associated with the fashion of the 1980s and 1990s. Claude Montana founded his own fashion house in 1979 with the help of his sister Jacqueline. His work was characterised by architectural cuts, clean forms and precision; he worked primarily with cashmere, leather, silk and bold single-colour surfaces.

For collections created for Lanvin, he received two Dé d'or awards — for Autumn–Winter 1990/1991 and Spring–Summer 1991. Parfum de Peau became the first fragrance of the Montana perfume house.
