About the Brand

The brand was founded by Daniel Hechter in 1962, when it presented its first women's fashion collection. Daniel Hechter was among the pioneers of French prêt-à-porter and sought to make luxury fashion accessible to a wider audience. The first men's collection followed in 1968.

In 1998, the brand was acquired by Miltenberger Otto Aulbach GmbH. In 2023, Daniel Hechter was renamed HECHTER PARIS and moved into the premium segment.
