About the Brand

The history of the Cerruti family has been linked to weaving since the mid-18th century. Antonio Cerruti founded the textile company Lanificio Cerruti in Biella, Italy, in 1881. Nino Cerruti took over the family business in 1950 at the age of 20 and began modernising and expanding it into clothing production.

In 1957 he founded the company HITMAN, focused on menswear. Maison Cerruti 1881 was presented in Paris in November 1967, alongside the opening of a boutique at La Madeleine. Nino Cerruti is also credited as the creator of the Casual Chic style.
