About the Brand

The history of the Cerruti family has been linked to weaving since the mid-18th century. In 1881, Antonio Cerruti founded the textile company Lanificio Cerruti together with two brothers and a cousin in the Italian city of Biella in the Piedmont region.

Nino Cerruti took over the management of the family business in 1950 at the age of 20. In 1957, he founded the company HITMAN focused on men's fashion, and in November 1967 he launched the fashion house Cerruti 1881 in Paris as a men's prêt-à-porter brand.
