About the Brand

LEGO Group was founded by Ole Kirk Kristiansen in 1932. The name LEGO was derived from the Danish words leg godt, meaning play well. The private company is headquartered in Billund, Denmark, and remains owned by the Kirk Kristiansen family.

According to the manufacturer, LEGO Technic bricks are made to be consistent, mutually compatible and to hold together reliably. LEGO Group tests them by dropping, heating, crushing, twisting and analysing them to meet global safety standards.

Behind the set is a family company with a history dating back to 1932.
