About the Brand

The history of Taoasis is linked to Axel Meyer and the publication of the book Das kleine Lexikon der Düfte in spring 1991, with a print run of 5,000 copies. The brand started out offering 33 essential oils sold through pharmacies in Germany and Austria.

Taoasis is a family-owned and owner-managed business, with Govinda Meyer having been part of its management since 2011. The company is a member of the Demeter association and its management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015. It also owns a Demeter-certified TaoFarm of approximately 20 hectares, where it grows lavender, wildflowers and aromatic plants.
