Fragrance and Composition

Signature Absolue was launched in 2023 as the first flanker of the original women's fragrance Signature from 2020. It belongs to the floral-ambery-fruity family and offers greater intensity and a more pronounced floral character within the collection. The composition was created by perfumers Meabh McCurtin and Anne Flipo.

• Heart notes: ylang-ylang, tuberose and frangipani (plumeria)

The radiant character of the composition was inspired by the gold used on the tips of Montblanc's iconic writing instruments.

The result is a contrast of fresh fruit, bold florals and a sensual woody-ambery base.

About the Brand

Montblanc originates from Hamburg, Germany, where it has been based and operating since 1906. Its beginnings are linked to technician August Eberstein and entrepreneurs Alfred Nehemias and Claus Johannes Voss.

In 1909, the brand introduced the Rouge et Noir writing instrument featuring ink-leak prevention technology. The Montblanc name was adopted in 1910, after the highest peak in the Alps, as a symbol of the pursuit of excellence and innovation. The six-pointed white star represents the six snow-covered glaciers of the Mont Blanc massif.

The brand's philosophy combines European craftsmanship with traditional, long-lasting designs. Writing instruments are made in Hamburg, leather goods in Scandicci near Florence, and watches in Switzerland.
