During their first visit to Pompeii, Paolo and Tiziana discovered the Villa of Mysteries, adorned with the most beautiful frescoes in a colour that became famous worldwide as Pompeian red, or Rosso Pompei. The fragrance opens with a fruity accord. Notes of pink and yellow Sicilian grapefruits, gracefully repeated, blend with Sorrento lemon and the renowned sweet nectar of Amalfi grapes. The seductive power of amber, combined with the hypnotic and aphrodisiac strength of the forbidden flower, Mexican tuberose, is embraced by the sweetness of lily of the valley and royal jasmine. The base is powerful and ensures the intense longevity of the entire creative composition. Lingering Indian sandalwood, whipped by the freshness of Lebanese cedar, becomes as mysterious as the frescoes of Pompeii thanks to the addition of energetic red patchouli and Neapolitan maple, a tree typical of the area around Vesuvius.
