About the Brand

Missoni was founded by Ottavio Missoni and Rosita Jelmini in 1953. The brand started with a workshop in Gallarate, Italy, and in 1969 built a manufacturing plant in Sumirago. The first Missoni boutique was opened in Milan in 1976.

In the mid-1970s, the brand expanded its range to include home textiles, furnishings, accessories and jewellery. EuroItalia acquired the Missoni licence in 2015 and in the same year launched the women's Missoni Eau de Parfum, which it also markets.
