White Dictamnus albus (Dictamnus albus)

The white yarrow, scientifically known as Dictamnus albus, is an evergreen plant belonging to the Rutaceae family. In the Czech Republic, it is also known as the common diptam, diptam, ash-leaved tremudava, white root, Dictamus fraxinella or Fraxinella dictamus. This plant is a natural inhabitant of Eurasia, especially the forest areas of southern Europe. The white yarrow is exceptional for its beautiful pale pink to white flowers that appear in late spring and early summer.

This herb is valued for its medicinal properties and contains a number of chemical compounds that are used in traditional medicine, the pharmaceutical industry and cosmetics.
