Potassium cetyl phosphate, otherwise also known as potassium cetyl phosphate, is an organic compound that is often used in the cosmetic industry. It is a white powder that has the ability to emulsify, i.e. to combine ingredients that would not normally combine. Emulsifiers are necessary in these preparations in order to combine water and oil to produce a cream or lotion. In addition, potassium cetyl phosphate provides a number of other benefits.

Its use is widespread, mainly due to its emulsifying and stabilising properties, as well as its ability to improve the consistency and appearance of the final product.
