Cetrimonium Bromide, also known as Cetrimonium Bromide in English, is a substance that is often used in many industries, especially in the cosmetics industry. It is a surfactant, which means that it affects the surface tension between two media, thereby facilitating the miscibility of substances that would not normally bond. Due to these properties, Cetrimonium Bromide is often used as an emulsifier and humectant in various products.

In the cosmetics industry, Cetrimonium Bromide is widely used in hair care products, including shampoos, conditioners and styling products. It helps to reduce static electricity in the hair and makes it easier to comb. In addition, it is also included in some skin and body creams, where it acts as an emollient. Its antibacterial properties also make it suitable for the production of disinfectants and soaps. Interestingly, Cetrimonium Bromide can also be found in some food products such as beverages. In water it acts as an antifoaming agent. However, its main use remains cosmetics and personal care. Despite its wide use, its use should be approached with caution as it can cause eye and skin irritation.
