Product description Kvitok Facial Serum - Ceramide Complex (30 ml) - restores the skin's protective film

Serum is suitable for all skin types, especially for dry and dehydrated skin that has problems with the formation of its own protective film. You can use the serum on its own, or you can add it to your favourite mask, for example.

This serum is from a collection of facial serums that are simpler in their formulation and therefore contain only one key active ingredient, so you can easily incorporate them into your beauty routine and even combine several at once.

This serum combines the benefits of ceramides and the essential aqueous phase, rose water.

The key ingredient in this facial serum is ceramides derived from sunflower oil. These are lipid compounds naturally found in skin cells. They make the skin's structure whole and form its protective layer.

They help restore the lipid barrier by replenishing lipids into the skin's structure. They restore moisture, strengthen the skin's natural barrier and help protect it from damage. They also reduce skin sensitivity and improve protection against external influences. They are also important for moisturizing and firming the skin, eliminating wrinkles and skin deformities, preventing skin thinning and weakening.

In eliminating wrinkles, products containing ceramides are more preventive than addressing the wrinkles that have formed.

Their replenishment is desirable especially during the winter months as the skin is exposed to adverse external conditions (cold, wind...). They are also particularly effective as a supplement in the treatment of eczema, as people with a damaged skin barrier (eczema, dermatitis or psoriasis) have less ceramides in the outer layer of the skin compared to normal skin.

The amount of ceramides in the skin naturally decreases with age and even stops completely over time. As a result of the lack of ceramides and the disruption of the protective film, the skin becomes dry, which is sometimes mistakenly assessed as lacking hydration with an attempt to replenish only moisturizing ingredients.

The content of ceramides in the skin may also be reduced by the use of certain medications (e.g. to lower cholesterol) or by a diet with insufficient intake of essential fatty acids.
