About the Brand

The Guerlain house was founded by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain in 1828, when he opened the first boutique on rue de Rivoli in Paris. The brand's creative legacy was subsequently developed by five generations of creators. It has historically focused on perfumery, skincare and decorative cosmetics, and later also on spa and wellness.

In 1853, the founder created Eau de Cologne Impériale for Empress Eugénie and was awarded the title of official perfumer to His Majesty. Since 2007, the brand has declared commitments to biodiversity protection, sustainable innovation, climate action and the protection of bees.
