About the Brand

Victorinox was founded by Karl Elsener in 1884, when he opened a cutlery workshop in Ibach, Switzerland. The original Swiss officer's and sports knife, today known as the Swiss Army Knife, was patented in 1897.

The name Victorinox was created by combining the name Victoria with the designation Inox for stainless steel. Victorinox Swiss Army Fragrance AG was established in 2007.
