About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. Its name is derived from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The first collection followed in 2012 after three years of research and development; at the same time, the brand opened its first flagship store in Madrid.

The Ecoalf Foundation was established in 2015 to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which collects and processes ocean waste in collaboration with the fishing industry. In 2018, Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification. In 2022, it received the B Corp Best for the World award, placing it among the top 5% of companies in the environmental category. It underwent its third B Corp certification in 2025 with a score of 122.7 points.

Behind the Verona model stands a brand that has been developing its original vision of reducing the harmful use of natural resources since 2009.
