About the Brand

The Ecoalf brand was founded in 2009. Its founder and president is Javier Goyeneche, who was inspired to create the name and concept by the birth of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The founding vision was to reduce the reckless exploitation of natural resources and to create recycled products with quality and design comparable to non-recycled goods.

After three years of research and development, the first collection and the first flagship store in Madrid were launched in 2012. In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which collaborates with the fishing industry to collect marine waste and transform it into yarns and fabrics.

In 2018, the brand became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification. In 2022, it received the B Corp Best for the World recognition, placing it among the top 5% of companies in the environmental category. It completed its third B Corp certification in 2025 with a score of 122.7 points.
