About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded in 2009 by Javier Goyeneche, who is also its president. The brand name is derived from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The original vision was to reduce the wasteful use of natural resources and to create recycled products with quality and design comparable to premium products made from non-recycled materials.

After three years of research and development, the brand launched its first collection in 2012 and opened its first flagship store in Madrid. In 2018, it became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corporation certification.

The Ecoalf Foundation was established in 2015 to support the Upcycling the Oceans project. This project collaborates with the fishing industry to collect marine waste and transform it into yarns and textiles.
