About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded in 2009 by Javier Goyeneche, who also serves as the brand's president. The name and concept were inspired by the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The original vision was to reduce the unsustainable use of natural resources.

After three years of research and development, the brand launched its first clothing collection in 2012 and opened its first flagship store in Madrid.

In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project. Working in collaboration with the fishing industry, it collects marine waste and transforms it into yarns and textiles. Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification in 2018. At its third certification in 2025, it achieved a score of 122.7 points.
