About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. The brand's name was inspired by the names of the founder's sons, Alfred and Álvaro. The first collection was developed after three years of research and development and was launched in 2012, alongside the opening of the first flagship store in Madrid.

The founding vision was to reduce the reckless use of natural resources and to produce recycled products with quality and design comparable to non-recycled goods. In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which collects ocean waste and processes it into yarns and textiles.

Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification in 2018. In 2022, it received the B Corp Best for the World recognition, placing it among the top 5% of companies in the environmental category. In 2025, it completed its third B Corp certification with a score of 122.7 points.
