About the Brand
Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. The brand name was created from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. After three years of research and development, the brand launched its first collection in 2012 and simultaneously opened its first flagship store in Madrid.
In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project. Its goal is to collect marine waste, recycle it, and give it new purpose, including transforming PET plastic into polyester yarn. In March 2018, Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corporation certification. The headquarters of ECOALF Recycled Fabrics is located in Madrid.
Behind the model stands a brand that uses recycled materials and supports a specific project focused on giving new life to ocean waste.
