About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded in 2009. Its founder and president is Javier Goyeneche, and the brand name is derived from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The brand launched its first clothing collection in 2012 after three years of research and development in its first branded store in Madrid.

In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which collects marine waste and processes it into yarns and textiles. Ecoalf became the first fashion company in Spain to receive B Corp certification in 2018. In 2025, the brand completed its third B Corp certification with a score of 122.7 points.
