About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded in 2009 by Javier Goyeneche, who also serves as its president. The name was created from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The original vision was to reduce the reckless use of natural resources and to produce recycled products with quality and design comparable to non-recycled ones. The first collection was launched in 2012 after three years of research and development.

In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which processes collected ocean waste into yarns and textiles. In 2018, the brand became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification. Four years later, it earned B Corp Best for the World recognition, placing it among the top 5% of highest-rated companies in the environmental category.
