About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. The brand name was created from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. After three years of research and development, the brand launched its first collection in 2012 and opened its own flagship store in Madrid.

The Ecoalf Foundation was established in 2015 to support the Upcycling the Oceans project. This helps to clean the oceans, gives captured marine waste a second life and raises awareness of pollution. Sorted plastic waste is converted, among other things, into flakes, pellets and subsequently polyester yarn.

Since March 2018, Ecoalf has been a certified B Corporation. In the same year, it became the first Spanish fashion brand with B Corp certification. The company ECOALF RECYCLED FABRICS, SL is headquartered in Madrid, Spain.

Behind the model stands a brand with its own foundation, a specific project focused on marine waste and B Corp certification.
