About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. Its name and concept were inspired by the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The original vision was to reduce the wasteful use of natural resources and to produce recycled products with quality and design comparable to non-recycled goods.

After three years of research and development, the brand launched its first collection in 2012 and simultaneously opened its first flagship store in Madrid. In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which works with the fishing industry to collect ocean waste and transform it into yarn and textiles. In 2018, Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corporation certification.
