About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. The name is derived from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The first collection was presented in 2012 after three years of research and development, along with the first flagship store in Madrid.

Ecoalf was created with a vision to reduce the unsustainable use of natural resources and to create recycled products with quality and design comparable to non-recycled goods. Since March 2018, it has been a certified B Corp company and became the first Spanish fashion company to receive this certification.

In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which aims to clean the oceans, repurpose collected waste, and raise awareness of marine pollution.

Ecoalf combines the development of recycled products with long-term activities focused on waste utilisation and reducing ocean pollution.
