About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. The brand's name and concept were inspired by the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The original mission was to create recycled products with quality and design comparable to non-recycled goods. After three years of research and development, the brand launched its first collection in 2012 and opened its own flagship store in Madrid.

In 2015, the brand's foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which collects marine waste and processes it into yarns and textiles. Since March 2018, the company has been a certified B Corporation, becoming the first Spanish fashion company to hold B Corp certification. Its B Impact Score stands at 122.7 points.
