About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. Its name is derived from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The founding vision was to reduce the wasteful use of natural resources and to create recycled products with quality and design comparable to non-recycled ones.

The first collection was launched in 2012, along with the opening of the first brand store in Madrid. In 2015, a foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which collaborates with the fishing industry to collect ocean waste and transform it into yarns and textiles.

In 2018, the company became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification. Upon recertification in 2025, it achieved a score of 122.7 points.

The brand thus consistently combines production from recycled materials with concrete projects focused on processing ocean waste.
