About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009, with the brand's name inspired by the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The first collection and flagship store in Madrid were launched in 2012 following three years of research and development.

In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which is dedicated to removing ocean waste, recycling it into new raw materials and raising awareness against ocean pollution. Ecoalf received B Corporation certification in 2018 as the first Spanish fashion brand to do so.

The Ecoalf sweater thus comes from a brand with a long-standing focus on recycled products and projects against ocean pollution.
