About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. The brand name is derived from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The first collection and the first flagship store in Madrid were created in 2012 after three years of research and development.

In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project. The brand evaluates the carbon footprint of its products using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). In 2018, it became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification, and in 2022, B Corp ranked it among the Best for the World, placing it in the top 5% of companies in the environmental category. At its third B Corp certification in 2025, it achieved a score of 122.7 points.
