About the brand

Ecoalf was founded in 2009 by Javier Goyeneche, who also serves as the brand's president. The name and concept were inspired by the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The original vision was to reduce the unsustainable use of natural resources and to create recycled products with quality and design comparable to non-recycled ones.

The first collection was launched in 2012, alongside the opening of the first flagship store in Madrid. In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which is dedicated to removing waste from the oceans, repurposing it, and raising awareness about marine pollution. In 2018, the brand became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification.
