About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded in 2009 by Javier Goyeneche, who also serves as the brand's president. The name Ecoalf is derived from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The original mission was to create recycled products with quality and design comparable to the best products made from non-recycled materials.

The first Ecoalf collection and the first flagship store in Madrid were launched in 2012 after three years of research and development. In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which works with fishermen to collect marine waste and process it into yarns and fabrics. In 2018, Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corporation certification.

Ecoalf bases its operations on the development of recycled products and the processing of collected waste into new textile materials.
