About the brand

Ecoalf was founded in 2009 by Javier Goyeneche, who also serves as the brand's president. The name and concept were inspired by his sons Alfredo and Álvaro. After three years of research and development, the first collection and the first flagship store in Madrid were launched in 2012.

In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, focused on collecting and processing ocean waste. In 2018, Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification. In 2022, B Corp named it Best for the World and placed it in the top 5% of companies in the environmental category. At its third B Corp certification in 2025, the brand achieved a score of 122.7 points.
