About the Brand

The history of Cacharel began in Paris in 1958, when Jean Bousquet created his first women's clothing. The trademark was registered in 1962, and a year later the brand gained significant fame thanks to a crepe blouse photographed by Peter Knapp for the cover of ELLE magazine. In 1968, Liberty prints appeared in its designs, and in 1969 the clothing collections were expanded to include men and children. The Amor Amor fragrance is brought to market by L'Oréal.
